Lesson Booking Procedure
Our courses run termly, in line with the school academic calendar.
Course Fees are paid in advance for the whole term and usually include a half term holiday.
Lesson bookings are made on a first come first served basis.
Once we have received your application form and payment, this confirms a space for your child on the course applied for. Once we have selected the appropriate ability level group for your child we will contact you regarding information of the time slot.
Once a course of lessons has been booked, paid for and a time slot allocated, from this point forward lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable. Missed lessons are non-refundable and we cannot offer alternative time slots.
Once you submit your application form to us, you are agreeing to being contacted by email, phone and post regarding our swimming lessons.
Rebooking for the following term
As a Swim School, we are very proud of having taught our pupils from Beginner to Advanced Swimmer/National age group qualifying standard, over a number of years. Our philosophy is to keep your child with the same teacher and as far possible the same group and for them to progress together over the years.
Therefore, we offer current customers priority for rebooking the following term until a deadline date of that current term. We regret that we cannot hold spaces past this deadline and if payment is not received before the deadline dates, your space will be lost to another waiting customer.
Badges and Awards
Shark Awards, ASA Distance Badges, Challenge, Survival and School Speed Awards (badges and certificates) are included in the term fee.
School Rules
Upon booking a place on one of our courses you agree to obey all school rules for the venue you have booked a course at. These rules will be sent to you at the start of term. Any breaking of these rules will result in expulsion from the swim school without refund. Please note these may be changed by the school at any time and any changes will be communicated by us Supersharks Swim School to you by email.
Inter-group Movement
We reserve the right to move children at any time during the term in the case of a move being required due to ability level mis-match after initial assessment or due to rapid improvement of pupils or unsuitable group ability level and or numbers.
Staff Member Absence
In the case of an emergency absence of a member of staff on the day of lessons groups may be amalgamated to allow swimming to continue safely (these will always be well within safe pupil to teacher ratios as approved by Swim England)
Cancelled Lessons
Lessons cancelled due to extreme weather conditions resulting in road or pool closure are not transferable, neither are lessons lost due to emergency repair on the pool site.
Refunds
We have a strict no refund policy except in extenuating circumstances considered on a case by case basis such as broken limbs.
Returned payments
There is an administrative charge of £10.00 where a cheque is returned unpaid by your bank.
In circumstances where a payment is returned, we reserve the right to suspend a child’s place without a Credit being applied to the account or a refund made due for Lessons missed until the returned amount is repaid in full.
Filming and Photography
The capturing of images either photo or film using any device such as smartphone, ipad or tablet computer, DSLR, video camera etc is strictly prohibited. We may at our discretion organise designated photo sessions during Crash Courses or at the end of term where written permission and consent will be obtained by all parents/guardians who have children attending the sessions.
Lost Property!
Supersharks Swim School cannot be held responsible for damage or loss to personal property on any of our sites.
